02 / Release briefing
Palworld 1.0 is the full release of Pocketpair's open-world survival crafting game, expanding the Pal roster, map, progression systems, and late-game goals.
Palworld 1.0 launched in July 2026 after more than two years in Early Access. Pocketpair's official update introduced 72 new Pals, taking the total roster to 287, and opens Sunreach—a large island built around new settlements, opponents, resources, and discoveries. The World Tree also becomes a real destination rather than distant scenery, giving the full release a clearer late-game focal point.
Two Palworld 1.0 progression systems deserve special attention. Awakening lets players strengthen a Pal beyond normal growth, while Mutation can create meaningful differences between individuals. Together they make capture quality, long-term investment, and team planning more important. Returning players should expect familiar survival, crafting, automation, and combat loops, but with more reasons to evaluate each Pal instead of treating duplicates as interchangeable.
Pal Compass separates verified game data from editorial and community-tested advice. The Bakemi guide and Orserk guide are live now, with locations, breeding, builds, skills, and source notes kept in one place. Additional Pal pages and tools will be published as their Palworld 1.0 data is validated.

Direct answers to the questions returning players and first-time explorers ask most about the full release.
01
Palworld 1.0 has 287 Pals in total. The full-release update added 72 new Pals, increasing the number of combat roles, work suitability combinations, mounts, drops, and team-building options. The live Palworld Pals guide library starts with Bakemi and Orserk and will grow into a searchable roster. Each page separates verified game data from editorial recommendations so players can compare elements, skills, habitats, and base roles without confusing facts with rankings.
02
The Palworld 1.0 map expands with Sunreach, a large island built around new settlements, opponents, resources, and discoveries. The World Tree also becomes an explorable full-release destination and a clearer late-game objective. The planned interactive Palworld map will eventually organize fast-travel points, bosses, dungeons, resources, and important locations. Until those coordinates are validated, this guide describes confirmed areas without publishing an incomplete map.
03
Awakening gives players another way to strengthen an individual Pal beyond familiar growth, while Mutation can create meaningful differences between otherwise similar Pals. These Palworld 1.0 systems make capture quality and long-term investment more important. They also affect how future best Pals rankings and the Palworld breeding calculator should be designed: recommendations must account for the current full-release systems instead of reusing Early Access assumptions.
04
Palworld 1.0 supports solo play, four-player online co-op, and dedicated servers for larger communities. The official Steam listing and Pocketpair server guide remain the source of truth for platform availability, hosting requirements, and player limits. This wiki currently records a dedicated-server limit of up to 32 players and will update that figure whenever official documentation changes.
